Welcome to TBN.............
Since you just changed the fuel filter(s) it sounds like you need to bleed the air from the system. Usually there is a bleed screw on the top of the filter housing. The procedure should be in your owners manual.
Here's a link to RCO for bleeding air from fuel lines.

It might HAVE BEEN an easy fix.. until he pulled out the starting fluid..

Back in November I changed the fuel filter on my L3540HST and ran it for a few minutes and shut it off. A few days later we got 10 inches of snow and tried to start it, nothing. Messed around with it for a bit and finally called my mechanic.

Took him a while after trying to bleed it etc and finally found out that my fuel pump failed at the same time I changed the fuel filter.

Crazy things can happen.

If bleeding doesn’t work, pull and examine the new filters you put in. Could be defective, or packaging could occlude the efficiency.

Does the Mahindra 8560 filters have the same o-ring setup as the 3016? Just wondering if an o-ring is missing if it does

My thought is an air leak some where, such as already said, a o ring missing or pinched.

Thanks to all for the advise. Went back and checked and manual says not to replace both at the same time. Put the old secondary one back in and is running fine now. Who knows maybe too much resistance in the new filters. Will wait for a couple hundred hours and replace the secondary again and see how that works. I do have another issue that you may know about. The epa light flashes on and off at one second intervals for seven blinks then off for 5 and then starts again. Someone posted a list of corrective measures for Mahindra that ended with 6 flashes. Does anyone know what the 7th flash eludes to?

Thanks again

You need to at least fill the filters with fuel when you change them. It can be a real PITA to try and bleed a dry fuel system.
If its got an electric pump you can leave the last fuel filter loose a bit anf let the pump run to fill them. Almost any way you do it your going to be spilling fuel.
