Question- do you think you will get a windrow effect and push a lot of dirt to one side based on the teeth being in a spiral pattern?

I could be wrong...
But no, I don't.

Even though the teeth are in a helical pattern...
When the drum is rotating, the teeth will be lifting the dirt.
There is nothing that is moving the dirt sideways.

I'm going to built a pivot into the rake, +/- 20 degrees.
That will hopefully take care of the problem, if there is one.

I built my power rake w/ the same teeth layout and someone asked me the same question. Mine is smaller at 5ft but I do not notice any issues with it kicking to one side due to the teeth design.

What's the planned final RPM on the drum?

I was considering modifying a cultivator by replacing the tines with a drum set up like yours.
