I found a good deal I couldn't pass up today. It's all installed, but I haven't spun it up yet. By the time I finished installation it was dinner time. We are supposed to get another 15-20"over the next couple of days, so I should get a chance to really try it out. I think I did pretty good for $900. My little helper did an awesome job cleaning up the inside of the drive shaft coupler. He's a great little man.
I removed the extensions for the shoes, all my drive is paved so I want it to clean down lower.
We also had to rework the cables for the chute a bit, and it now rotates a full 180 degrees. IMG_20190223_185026810.jpegIMG_20190223_193922716.jpegIMG_20190223_193932991.jpeg

View attachment 593216nestled warmly in the garage this gem decided that my last time clearing the driveway is the last time and decided to retire it痴 rod bearing so now I知 stuck with a paper weight and a shovel

Oh man, that's a heart breaker.

Maybe a reman engine?

The new toy is a beast. I'll still end up doing the rubber paddles on the impeller, but it's got plenty of distance to get the snow back from the road.IMG_20190224_113015129.jpegIMG_20190224_113009795.jpegIMG_20190224_120647275.jpeg

After the rains stopped and the temps dropped, I scraped off the 1-2 inches of fluffy powder so one could see the icy driveway.
The wind is currently gusting to 60 mph and all that light snow is blowing everywhere.
The pics are where the driveway T's into the town road and the pullout I keep clear so I can turn and stop at the top and stay out of the road.
Plus it serves as a parking spot for the timid or those with less than snow worthy vehiclest1.jpgt2.jpg

Nice!

Most of our snow melted the past few days. Any that’s left compressed and is now crunchy and icy. Wind gusts today are pretty violent, more than I’ve ever seen. Spent most of the day cleaning in the basement. I’m very happy it’s not snow mixed with all this wind.
