Finally an easy question. Without a doubt, Kubota. Wait, I just bought a JD, so the correct answer is John Deere of course. Probably the way I buy mine, and a lot of recommendations already mentioned, is shop for what feels right at the time. Dealer service is also important. I bought my first tractor more than 10 years ago because they seemed the most interested in selling me a tractor. This time it was John Deere.
The real correct answer for who makes the best tractor for the money is there is no correct answer.
More like, "the best tractor is like the best suit, find one tailored to you." Find the one that fits you, both in terms of budget, and ergos. Also factor in how important/unimportant dealer support is to you.
