What is the best battery operated chain saw

i got mine on amazon
had to buy saw and battery and charger separately and was $$$ so i thought about it for a while before i pulled the trigger. But for what i do it ended up being well worth it. it has become my favorite saw. It really is well built. Of course i am not saying it will replace all the other saws. It is one of a kind. i have a lot of dewalt 18v stuff so i was sure dewalt would come out with one shortly after i bought it but that was about 2 years ago and it is still the only thing like it out there.
I would like a battery pole saw about 5' long in total for reaching into bushes etc. i can't find any that will operate without the center part of the extension pole. I think there is a market for that. Everybody wants to make the exact thing as someone else instead of making that one thing that is different. Oh well, i am no marketing expert.

The Ryobi polesaw will operate without the extension. I have one. I don't know if you want to start getting into the Ryobi 18 volt battery system though. I have a lot of other 18 volt ryobi stuff

Don't want to but i didn't want to get into makita either. Thanks for the heads up. It it an auto oiler?

It is. But mine developed a leak when stored. I think most chainsaws lead to some extent. I just make sure to dump out any excess oil before storing or it will seep out.

I had several Craftsman saws... one bought and two given.

They leaked badly...

Bought my first Echo and no leak... night and day difference as I keep it in my service truck.

Bailey's WoodlandPRO 71SC is 1/4" .043. I find the Woodland Pro chain does not stay sharp quite as long as Stihl but it's cheaper. I use it for larger saws for felling and bucking.

I group up my Bailey's orders to amortize the shipping cost across many items. Also the gas to drive to the Stihl dealer costs about as much and it takes more of my time.

Does Bailey's still do free shipping for orders over $50 or maybe $100 occasionally? I used to use that several times a year. Ordered 2 cases of "Motion Lotion" bar oil about 6 years ago, still have some left to use.

Very happy with it and it has been trouble free... survived be dropped out of a tree once and during a storm I used it to cut a 32" diameter tree that had fallen across the road... it has a 14" bar but I worked with it.

It is the only top handle arborist saw they had for many years... will need to check the model number as I when I just checked the website I see several but not the one I have.

In my application the oil not leaking is very important.

I have been using my Greenworks 40V exactly that way in the recent tree carnage we have had here in the mtns.
