One place was same price no matter what

Another was one price @ 0%, another price at cash. The best part was the cash price was so much cheaper that even a full term bank loan @ 5% on the cash price was still cheaper than the 0% price.

Kubota's financing is handled by Kubota. Sometimes the incentive package includes a small discount for cash, often it doesn't. It changes quarterly.

CUT dealers are spread thin in California and from what I can tell, generally don't discount much.

Sometimes you can get orchard returns which were rented out for a harvest season and have roughly 50-100 hours on them. The discount is not that big though.

Most brands have a website that allows you to build your tractor and see retail price. 15% off that is pretty common. That information will help you understand whether your dealer is trying or not. Then you can negotiate payment method.

^ This as far as Kubota.

I "built" my Kubota on-line - which you should do just to see what list price is on everything. Then I went to the only Kubota dealer here in Northern Nevada, told them exactly what I wanted, and asked for their best price. It matched the on-line price. Not willing to deal at all!



I did the Built it on line trick as well.
When I went into buy my MX from Kubota the Dealer price was lower than the on line price.
They may have had some kind of Promo. that was not included in the on line price.

What ever you decide on do your homework.
It will pay off in the end.

George2615 has it right, if you can wait for an Ag Show/Field Day(s)... all of the brands/colours are in one place and they 'love' to be able to put a "sold" sign on what's there. Of course the problem is that you're limited to what is there, barring any extra goodies that you want added.

WRT my 4105, my JD salesman (also a farmer) knew that I has paying cash; sold me the less ex-expensive bare-bones model and then reduced the cost by bundling the implements [4in1 bucket, slasher, tiller, fork/bale-spikes combo]

Right now Mahindra claims a rebate up to $9600 on a bundled package, but I couldn’t find details.

I paid cash when I bought my Kubota several years ago. One thing to consider, (which I did not at the time), was when buying on credit the cost of insurance for the tractor is a whole lot cheaper than when you buy outright and then buy insurance. Knowing that now, and adding the insurance costs up, you are probably better buying on credit. Just another thing to consider. If you keep the tractor just on your property then your homeowners or farm insurance would cover it and not have to worry about insurance costs.

I think if I was paying cash I would try to find a well maintained used tractor that had less than 500 hrs.

The manufacturer gives incentives to the dealers. However you buy it幼ash or finance, they dealer gets paid before it leaves the lot. Any discount after that is the dealer giving away some of his commission.
