Oil & Fuel LS XG3140 HST fluid

I know this subject has come up before and I have read everything I could find, but I still haven't found the answer I seek.

First of all, I apologize for starting a new thread on this. If the answer is out there, please point me to it.


LS recommends the following for HST fluid:

API GL4 ISO VG 46/68 LSTH570 (Manufacturer: GS Caltex or S-OIL TOTAL Co. Ltd.)


New Holland recommends this for the Workmaster 40 (same tractor, even says made by LS Mtron on the tag ):

NEW HOLLAND AMBRA MASTERTRANｮ ULTRACTION


Threads on TBN say this will work in our tractors:

Traveller Premium Universal Tractor Trans/Hydraulic Fluid


My question is which one do I use for top offs? Are they all universally compatible? My dealer told me to use semi synthetic. He said do not use 303 fluid because it will damage the tractor. He wasn't much help. I need to put a little back in the system and need to know what to use.

I have a NH workmaster 40 made by LS.My dealer told me its ok to use 303.Tractor is still in warranty.Asked whether that would void warranty and was told a FLAT NO. Maybe others can chime in.

I'm using the Traveller Premium. Seems to work just fine.

I have Phillips P66 PowerTran Phillips 66 PowerTran Fluid | SCL available locally and have used in my DX35 and Ck30HST. As it is API GL4, I suspect will use in my XR4140H. Haven’t checked with dealer yet.

I use Chevron THF 1000. It meets LS required specs and I can get it at my local Napa auto parts store.

Do not use 303. It is not designed for wet brakes!!!
