LS MT5 73 CPS
First off this is my first post, thanks so much for all the info posted in the past that has helped me out. I知 25 years old and just bought 35 acres. Approx 20 acres pasture. Main use will be bush hogging and food plots for deer hunting. Also some loader work around the farm. My Issue is this, all of my buddies and family run John Deere tractors. When they heard me talking about heading to my local LS dealer they gave me sh**. They keep telling me parts will be impossible to get. Im really liking the ls MT573 cab tractor. I get the buddy seat for my 6 year old and have a 73 HP tractor that will more than fit my needs. All of that I can get out the door for around 38k. On the other hand I can buy a used Deere with 750-2000 hours and spend the same money. Deep down I feel like the ls is the way to go but I would love to hear from some people that have the bigger LS tractors. I have 2 dealers within 60 miles of me. I live in East Tennessee. Thanks in advance for any advice I知 going to get.

If you have a good dealer, I wouldn't be afraid at all to consider an LS. I think they offer a lot of features for a fair price. I am a Deere owner and really like them (and my dealer is awesome). Keep in mind, Deere offers several models in all sizes so when comparing the two brands make sure you pick the one's that align closest.

I will start with congratulations on the new place! I ask why you think you need the 73hp tractor for what you are talking about doing you could get buy with the same tractor I have with 68hp a little smaller but more than enough to do what you are thinking and drops your initial investment enough to get a few implements!

I looked at the green and the orange some red ones also none has the options standard that LS had and all cost more and the green and red ones had plastic hoods and roofs on cabs the green one had a door on both sides but had to pay extra to get a handle on outside of it lol

Well I was told I can稚 get a buddy seat unless I get the 73hp in the LS. Also everyone has told me buy as much HP as you can afford. Yes the 38k was with loader out the door. I feel like that痴 an awesome price. Also this is a tax write off for me I own a company. I知 not saying price is not a issue, but I want to get the most for my money.

I've only needed parts for my LS R3039H once. Since the part was not a stock item, it did take 5 days, unless I wanted to pay the expedite fee. That is common throughout the industry though, no matter what the color of the tractor. Another time I bent a 3 point hitch stabilizer link and wanted to look at a new one to see what the angles were. Owner went out back and pulled a new one off the shelf. The owner handed both to his parts guy and told him to take them in back and make the bent one look like the new one. He later handed me my straightened out link and said "no charge"!

My LS has been great and would not hesitate to purchase another one.

I have had my LS P7010 for 9 years and only a few design problems like fuel tank developed a leak which they sent me a new tank (no charge) with newly designed brush protections, however prior to its arrival, I modified the brush guard and fixed the leak with JBWeld. I set the replacement tank in my shop storage area and am still waiting for the JB Weld to fail, which is hasn't so far.
I broke the drawbar mount trying to pull a loaded dump truck out of the mud, they replaced it with new design which was a bit stronger again no charge.
The only other problem I have had with it was a busted support on the seat which I welded back (only a small tack weld originally). The dealer got me a new bracket for the seat (no charge) and installed it.
I really haven't had any major issues with its powerchain.
