If this is the wrong place to post this I apologize.

I am wondering if anyone can confirm:
1) What is/was the warranty period on a 2017 Kioti CK2610HST. From what I thought, it is now 6 years on the 2019 models but don't know on prior years.
2) Is warranty transferrable to second owners

Why?
I have a CK2610 that was purchased new locally in Jan, 2017. I am the second owner since October of last year. My dif lock will not move/engage for anything.
I called the local dealer (5 min from me) where it was purchased new. He confirmed purchase date.
I tell the dealer about my dif problem and ask him if that's something that would be covered under warranty. He immediately barks back saying "2nd owner gets nothing. Warranty not transferrable". Then proceeds to tell me it's over 2 years old so warranty is expired. Tried to ask about the 6 year warranty and got nothing. I was pretty discouraged and annoyed by his tone and responses.

I then (yesterday and today) tried calling Kioti customer service only to get an automated recording that takes me no where. Even more annoyed now.

So, before I reach out to other dealers, can anyone tell me what they know to be the warranty program for this year/model?

Thank you.

I just received an email back from Kioti headquarters. Matches what you show above. Second owner needs to register it for warranty.

I did search with google and found posts here where a second owner had to have the original dealer supply the paperwork partially completed to the new owner, then the new owner completes the paperwork and passes it to the new servicing dealer in his area. That new dealer completes the transfer by submitting to Kioti and be re-registered in the system as the warranty contractor for that machine and new owner. The warranty on a tractor is not at all like it is on your car or truck. The limitations placed on the warranty are a lot more restrictive... AKA... cover much less.

Got ya. Thanks for the extra info. Unfortunately it sounds as if I will have to contact the original dealer again to get this process rolling...

I was told that the warranty follows the tractor, and that I didn稚 have to register in my name. I知 curious as to what you end up doing. Can you please keep me updated with what you find out.

The Original KIOTI Warranty is completely transferable, as long as the paperwork described above is completed by the servicing dealer. We do warranty transfers all the time for customers. As long as the transfer is done properly, all warranty is transferred to the new buyer.

If the issue with the Differential Lock is due to a problem inside the Powertrain "case", it falls under the Powertrian Warranty. If it is an external linkage, or anything outside the transmission case, it would fall under the 2 Year Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty.

Hope this helps.

Hopefully there is another dealer within a reasonable distance...doesn't sound like a place most would be intersted in dealing with...,

The TBN "location police" are quite annoying, but if you tell us where you are, we might know of helpful dealers in your area....

Yes, let us know location and dealer. Because he's obviously being an A$s and either doesn't know the transfer procedure or is ignoring thinking he'll make a buck off you.

I wonder if you were dealing with a salesman, or a service manager, it might make a difference in the answer.
