Ok I have a 6 acre lot that I keep a path mowed all the way around for walking etc
I have a brush hog for the LS to do the tall stuff but thinking I壇 like a finish Mower to use instead of a riding mower.
Is this a good idea ? And would it handle a 6 ft finish Mower ?

You're at the low end for horse power with a 72" finish mower. Just looking at Woods site, they have a few different 72" finish mowers and recommend 20-40 hp at the PTO. You have 18.5 according to LS.

So I would would say yes, you're ok, only if you dont get into heavy or wet mowing. You probably dont want to put a load on it. However, stepping down a size, to a 5ft, you'll be fine.

I run a 6 ft RFM with my 20 hp massey, no problem.

I thought LS says 24.5 hp ???

It does, but 18.5 HP at the PTO. The 24.5 is at the flywheel.
When looking at HP requirements of implements, the manufacture will specify PTO or Engine Horse Power. In Woods' case, they specify 20-40HP at the PTO.

I ran a 72" King Kutter finish mower on my MT125 (only 17 pto hp) without any problems. Your XJ2025 won't have any issues unless it's tall / wet grass.

How about the weight picking it up ???
And my question is still, am I better off just buying another riding mower

Your 2025 is heavier than the 125, I used to take off the loader when I mowed, no issue lifting the front end up. I guess if I was on a hill, had the mower all the way up, and took off really fast, maybe, the front end could get light....

Still need to decide if I知 better off with a riding mower
TSC has finish mower for 1500

No reason to maintain two engines/drivetrains when you already have a tractor capable of mowing. It will be cheaper long term to get a deck for the tractor you already have. You may consider that a 5' deck will work just fine for walking trails, and offers a little more flexibility in case you need to get through a tight spot in the future.
