Yep, I remember those church keys. When I first landed in Viet Nam, there were no pull tab beers and it just seemed to be that it would be awful to have a couple of beers and no way to open them, but I do remember that sharp point poking into my chest while hitting the dirt, then poking my leg when I tried carrying it in my pants pocket.

I thanked the genius that came up with the pull tops when I first saw them.

I've still got the P-38 can opener I carried while I was over there.

I still have several, gave away one to a grandkid many years ago.

. . . . .

My favorite now is a local called Blue Moon Belgian white (Virginian).

I like all the Japanese beers and Chinese. Taiwan beer, weirdly, is better in the can than in the bottle. Bet a co-worker once that I could tell the difference blind folded. I could.

Also like Canadian beer and Aussie ones.

Don't really care for most American beers and especially the special and flavored ones.

Fosters, great for target practice on a windy day as you don't need to empty them, fermented cats p***, tastes better coming up than going down, a truly vile brew.
Funnily enough very hard to find on sale anywhere here.
Haven't tried any Canadian beers but a few USA beers, not a fan of Bud or Millers but some of the others I don't mind, Mrs likes Miller Chill on a hot day.

When I could get it I used to like Schooner out of Nova Scotia. Never cared for Moosehead that I think was from New Brunswick.

Also liked a beer that I forgot the name of. It was in the 1970's in Alberta, Canada and I remember the bottle cap had a buffalo (bison) on it. Never could find it again.

How do you guys know what fermented cat piss or any piss tastes like??...does it take an acquired taste like scotch?...BTW, scotch (single malt) smells like a cross between toe jam and hoarse manure...why would one want to acquire a tasted for such a vile liquor?
