Grading New To Me JD Rotary Cutter needs parts

Good morning folks! I was able to acquire a John Deere 205 Gyramor rotary cutter that I'll be running on my MF GC1710 and was curious where the best place to by JD parts was (besides my local dealer). It's been generously loved over the years but is still in good overall shape all things considered for it's age. MF just about forces me through the dealer network for parts and my early looking makes me feel JD is the same way. I prefer to price and buy items online where possible for ease and convenience. Is this an option? Thank you for the help!

Which parts and part numbers are you looking for?
I don't see Deere forcing anyone to go through their dealer network, except they are the ones that handle the parts.

Look up the part numbers on the John Deere parts website and google the part numbers. It's an easy way to keep the local dealer honest about prices. Often aftermarket suppliers use JD part numbers for reference.

I was on jdparts.com and then adding to cart and it said select local dealer. I am looking for a variety of parts but primarily first and foremost new skids/shoes

Naming the dealer doesn't tie you to buying the part from them. What it does do is give you the part number, also a price, as well as the availability of those parts at the dealer you named. And you can change the dealer named any time.
The system is a big help compared to other brands that don't have their parts as easily searched. IMO

Once you have the part number, can go online and search for where that part might be found. Many even on Amazon now. A week ago bought a part on Amazon that came several states away at the same price as local dealer, and no shipping charge.
From the dealer, the part comes with no shipping if available or ordered in on the next stock delivery.
Also is a "machine down" quick delivery but that comes with a shipping charge. Hard to beat it.

The part W14967, W14966 skid shoes are no longer available. Contact your local John Deere dealer for other options.
