I am looking at their 68" flail mowers.
Leaning towards the medium duty or up to the HD.

Anything you were disappointed in or ???? should I move on to another brand.
THANKS!!!

Dont know anything about them . However I do know Befco makes them also . Names are pronounced very similar imo , especially if you from the south . Gonna keep an eye on this thread and try to learn something .

Yep. This.
Seems like a bargain if they are any good. Seems to be good. Not much info that I can find with a quick search though.

Betstco is just up the road from me and I drive by them all the time. There is always a lot of inventory and they have been at that location for many years. I don’t have any personal experience with their products but I don’t see too much in the way of negative comments or reviews about them.

Also- I think if you look, most of their products are from a company called Farmers Helper, or something like that.

i have one of their tillers, it shucked the gearbox but before you run off, read this all the way through - they told me the manufacturer had a redesign, I had an early 1st gen. version, so i purchased the replacement angle/conical new style gears. i had to get creative shimming the gear lash as it did not come with shims and it was easier to jsut get some shim stock at the local parts store and guess what i might need from them and have them ship, reship etc..... -

they are a locally owned mom/pop type operation and sell on ebay, that is how i found them, they are able to get parts and are good about following up on phone calls if they arent able to answer - while i had issues with my tiller i was pleased with the support and redesign and affordable parts - they helped me figure out how to get the right items/bearing/shafts/gears as it would have been a bigger pain to replace the entire gearbox so i parted it back together, the bearings are standard normal obtainable bearings - so presuming the flail was made by similar foreignese manufacturers i would be fine with it - they helped me out on shipping too - i talked to keith, jason, and i think a steve or dennis - one was the owner - I went to HF and bought a digital caliper for 15 bucks and did some measuring and they worked with me over the phone and spent time figuring it out with me and got me the right stuff - yes i had to do the work but no different than something else i own that has broken - my tiller is an IGN-180, direct gear drive 6 foot tiller - i purchased it in 2007 so its 12 yrs old now - its a heavy brute built stout - mine has a shear bolt not a slip clutch - im sure their flail mowers would be fine and i would not be afraid to do business with them at all

If you are still shopping and want a heavy duty flail mower you should also look at the Hiniker 5710 flail mower.
It is a six foot cut flail mower with cup knives and it can be ordered with a ratchet jack or a hydraulic lift adjustment
for the cutting height.

It is a towed flail mower with CV joints to allow for tighter turns. Using a CV joint/RZeppa universal joint is a bonus as it
will wear much less than a standard universal joint and it also has an overrunning clutch to protect the drive line and
tractor.

I wonder what the HP requirements are for the Hiniker 5710 flail mower?

I didn't see it listed on their website.

thats kind of a can of worms, depends on what you are mowing as to what hp it will require, are you mowing short stuff or tall stuff, is it thick or thin, how tall are you cutting, is it wet, you might get a general idea of hp but its all subjective and probably why they dont put a disclaimer on it, some guy will say i have a 50hp tractor and you said it only takes 30hp but he is out trying to cut 6foot tall CRP ground wtih switch grass in it and it wont cut it w/out overheating and killing the engine. He wants his $$ back LOL - Good Luck!!!!

Thats great for reading reviews, but in finding out if a product is quality or not?

As I read your post, Searcy, I was like (for me): mowing short stuff or tall stuff? yes. Thick or thin? yes. is it wet? probably.

Don't get me wrong. I completely agree with you. But I think the OP is asking if anyone has used the Bestco equipment and are they happy with it. For me, I am looking for a flail mower too, but I am a bit gun shy about the price. This company makes something in my size for a decent price. If only they are quality? I plan on mowing all of the above. Everything from 2in thick pine saplings to the front lawn and everything in between during a rain storm. I want a tool to do it all. I know that's not possible, but I am looking for something close.

The question I have, and I am assuming the OP has too is: Can this tool do it without breaking down? And if it does break down, is the company easy to work with?
