The not running synthetic oil til a certain hours is about piston ring break in... dealing with that at work now with an LS based 454 for boats, the ring manufacturer is recommending dino oil for break in... Same with the not towing on first however long but that's not near as much of an issue as it used to be... We sell engines at work for a living and GM themselves do not recommend a breakin period, they say just run it which is the subject of many phone calls...

Well I think what they are trying to portray is lighting in a large area, especially NOT LED lighting would involve a lot of current, hence a large lighting contactor to make the connection. Think a big solenoid making some large copper/bronze contacts. Hence the big "bang"

How many episodes of Columbo, McCloud, MacMillan & wife Rockford Files and others SO many others show such a variety of phones on set, from executive phones in box on a desk, to French Provincial phones by bedsides, to pay phones when getting ransom drop-off instructions. The foley 'ring' sounds like a chord, and to a musician it's unmistakably familiar and never varies in tone or volume on the soundtracks. Hear it at the beginning of every Rockford Files episode.
