Only when indoors? I gave away the old H&R 929 revolver which had been my grandfather痴 because I couldn稚 shoot it. 2 shots would leave me with intense pain. Yet why do you not notice the sound of 8 rounds when hunting, at least until after the fact?
Part of the Tachypsychia effect when we are under an adrenaline dump is not hearing gunshots, or hearing them very muted, called auditory exclusion and also a type of "tunnel vision" can occur where you only see things right in front of you and not off to the side as you normally would. This can occur when you are pulling the trigger or are on the wrong end of the muzzle.
