I only bring my firewood into the house to refill, it goes straight into the stove. Too many bugs on the wood in our area otherwise.
Just looked to me that a conveyor would do away with most of that bend over work, I hate bend-over work.................
I would love one to get firewood on my front porch. Otherwise I have to carry it an armful at a time down a 25' sidewalk, up 5 steps, and to the corner of the porch. I keep telling my wife that once I get older and more eccentric, I am building some sort of crazy conveyor belt to get firewood up to the porch.
To me that would be a ideal situation for a 8' conveyor, and speaking of which, I cant seem to recall someone anyone here doing conveyor fire-wooding, maybe I'm the only one that thinks a firewood conveyor is handy dandy.....................

My father always brought his wood into the cellar one wheelbarrow full at a time. He believed that it held a fire longer that way.
I prefer my firewood stacked to 6' high, annnnd I forgot to mention, I hate knee work to!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must have the most accommodating wife on TBN..................You are right, the splits land close to the stove.
The window frame ect. is steel, and the window is easy to take out and it doesn't get in the way.
When "I" throw the splits down, I get on my knees, so not much bending over for me. The truth is, my wife like throwing the splits down, so that's one job I don't do much of.

I was glad the furnace was designed to vent the cabinet out the roof vent and the design also starts the blower a few minutes before starting the burner to clear the cabinet of any gasses.
But yes, the installer and I will have a little visit.
I don't think a pressure test would have found that, only a gas sniffer would. I'm glad my wife's and daughters sniffers are good.
My neighbor has a conveyor & the same splitter I have. We used to run the Conveyor with the 2N then just have it dump on the ground. Then stack it later. But now I use the IBC totes & stack it right off the splitter. The conveyor would be nice if we used the dump truck to move the wood, sure beats hand tossing it up into the truck.
A firefighter downstate today wasn't so lucky.
Explosion in Farmington claims the life of firefighter, leaves others seriously injured
I'm having second thoughts about propane heat for backup.
