Dog Hurts Owner (Not that way)

After reading the story, I believe the dog was set up by the owner.

Person shot was the caregiver of the dogs owner.

People can talk, dogs can't.

The excuse "the gun is normally not loaded" was the first giveaway that some fibbing may be going on IMO.

Ever notice when it's the animals fault that the gun goes off the animal really can't defend itself?

Yeah, it is a bit far fetched.

Speaking of...

That’s pretty good. I initially didn’t see the stick, and I thought he was being wary and even mildly aggressive towards the statue.

On a less funny note, since dogs have such a keen sense of smell, I’m surprised he would confuse a human with a bronze statue. He seems so intent on playing fetch with the statue, but he virtually ignored all the giggling people watching the whole thing. It makes me wonder whether the dog was purposely conditioned to behave like that.

From personal own experience dealing with dogs, found some have a higher drive to fetch than others, with no training whatsoever. Some may call it prey drive by wanting to chase and fetch, but I didn't find this always the case (wanting to play fetch for hours vs chasing a say a squirrel running across the yard).

This is a local story; on the news last night they said that there were three empty cartridges on the floorboard. I guess the dog pulled the trigger three times, but must be a pretty poor shot, even at that close range.

And exactly how many other dogs were set up by their owners (for stupidity on the owner) due to the fact of lack of additional evidence just makes you scratch your head on how a dog could do it in the first place???

Well, there was Deputy Dawg and Huckelberry Hound that could handle shootin' irons. Even a horse if you remember Quick Draw McGraw.
