That is the LAST PIECE of vinyl siding for the top of the gable end.

This was a one month project that took three months. I'm not really complaining. I'm blessed to be able to scamper up and down ladders at 70. Shed is frame construction and has vinyl siding and a textured bronze-colored metal roof.

Base is asphalt millings with 4x6 PT sleepers. Then a 2x4 on 16" for floor framing and 3//4 PT plywood. Originally there were going to be two layers of 3/4 PT plywood, but concern about trapping water prompted a change to a few 2"+ fir planks to help spread the load. These were given two coats of waterproofing.

I'll probably come up with something inside to stack some implements, but it feels good to be done with everything else!

Nice work! What is that rig used to lift the truss?

Nice shed!

s219- That rig is typically called a material lift. There are many varieties, heights and capacities, both manual and powered out there. You see a lot of commercial HVAC guys use them to lift large ducts up and hold them in place for installation.

Thanks. It IS too small, but it's what I could sell to Wifey. The L4240 fits in fine. There are currently two smaller sheds on the property. One has the L3200 living in it that I just listed for sale. When the L3200 goes away it will be a home for the Ford 1210 and a couple implements. We drug the smallest shed out of the way to build the new shed. When I get what little remains out of it, it will be torn down.

I'm thinking through an plan to build a HD shelf in front of the tractor. It would be sturdy enough to park either the RFM or snow plow on it and high enough to park the FEL under it.

The lift is something I borrowed at work that as dstig1 said, is used for lifting ductwork. This one is too small for most of our projects but it was the perfect size for the shed. With the forks flipped it only goes a bit over 12'. According to the tag on it, the last time it was used on a project was in 2009.

#2 Son got a kick out of piloting the L4240 early last Summer when we pulled the smaller shed out of the way. It took a good strong rope, a decent anchor and a few pulleys.

Cost me a LOT of money 22 years ago, but "Wifey" problem solved.
No longer need to get permission.

Chim didn't need permission either. He simply chose to respect his wife in the discussion.

What size is the shed, and what size overhead door?

Yup....."respect" .... now there is a brilliant comment!
You do marriage counseling as a sideline?

8 different affairs, (youth minister, my friends, etc.) over 13 years, and you suggest that I should respect a wretched ****?
13 years not knowing about her double life......then 5 wasted years of joint counseling.
34 years total, from beginning to end.

I seriously considered taking my own life.
You have not a clue!
May it NEVER happen to YOU good buddy!
