could care less. i use Sandboxie on my tried and true Win7 machine and have not updated win7 for 4 years. never had an issue. The only time i EVER have issues is after doing an update. Sandboxie prevents any virus from attacking the computer. has been flawless. any downloads never reach the actual computer. they run within the sandbox (weird term) outside of the actual computer. Cant access the registry either.

I upgraded my Windows 10 computer to Windows 7 Professional. I had never heard of Sandboxie but will investigate. I have no plan to convert to Windows 10. My alternate plan was Linux. Yes, I've used it before.

I ran an XP box for 16 years, just upgraded last summer to a Win 10 Pro used Dell off cl, the XP was losing firefox and google earth, among other things. Plus, I had an external drive that needed 7 or better, didn't realize that when I bought it.
Once I got used to it, I like it fine. Still have the XP, a couple 386s and an 8088 out in the shop that boots up.

I upgraded my wifes PC from win 7 to win 10. It was a free download from Microsoft but took ages. A lot of web pages said the time limit for the free download had expired, but mine worked and I m no PC geek.

I evaluated Linux a few months ago. Just too complex for me. Maybe someday Micro$oft will announce a subscription fee for their Windows 10 "service"? That would be a game-changer for Linux user demand.

I keep a windows 7 machine for some software programs that won’t run with windows 10. I don’t connect to the internet with this machine. My windows 10 machine is what I use for the internet.

I prefer IE11 over Edge. The problem is that Win 7 can only use IE11 and not Edge. Microsoft will support IE11 till 2025 but only for security issues. When Win 7 goes end of life compatibility issues will arise. Many websites are already not IE11 compatible. As browser based software quits becoming IE11 compatible, options may be limited for a Win 7 platform. Many of our healthcare programs at work that were IE11 compatible are moving away from it with new upgrades. Too many issues and takes too much programming time to make them compatible with all browser versions.
