Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Not sure I want to be carrying around a saw with a 80 volt battery on it. Should be good for the lawnmower.

Mine was $149 with the coupon and you can usually get one here.

Was looking thru the latest flyer and noticed it was on sale with coupon thru the end of Feb.
I'll probably wait til the next time it goes on sale since I don't really have much need for it in mid winter & I'd hate to use up the rather meager warranty with it just sitting in the shed.
Nice to know it does go on sale though, sure beats getting out the gas saw for small projects.

Unless I'm going out for firewood, the Lynnx is my go to trail/storm cleanup saw. I love it long time!

The biggest problem with Harbor Freight tools is the people who buy them.
There is always some yahoo that spends $15 on a tool that normally would cost $100, beats the crap out of it then complains about it.
They are what they are. Harbor Freight has never claimed their tools were as good as those costing 10X as much.
Anyone who doesn't understand that shouldn't buy them.

40 is bad enough, 80 would be electrocution if you got on the wrong end of the power terminals....:confused2:

Woops. Shovelmike, my apologies. I didn't actually look up the specific carbon pile tester you referred to, but now see it's not what I've been using. Your post said Chicago Electric, but I think you meant Cen-Tec, which is a much more sophisticated unit. This is the Chicago Electric model I've had for years, although the current unit looks like it has a painted finish, while mine is chrome. $19.99, or $16 with a coupon!

I fail to see the issue it's takes very little voltage to kill you.
If you are that worried do you use any plug in tools? that 115 VAC is going to jump right out and get you.
Think about all the suburbanites out there in the damp grass with the corded 115 VAC weed wackers.
