We have a fish called alewives up here in the great lakes. It's a fish that lives in the ocean, but breeds in fresh water. When they dug the Welland Canal around Niagara Falls to allow shipping from the St. Lawrence Seaway into the upper great lakes, alewives came on in and decimated the natural balance of the lakes. Back in the 60's and 70's there were massive alewives die-offs that left hundreds of miles of shoreline littered with a strip of dead fish a foot deep and 10' wide. Man, did that stink!

To keep it tractor related, those dead fish we saw last weekend had R4 tracks all over them where the tractor came through. :laughing:

There were approx. a doz. of these baby grouse hiding under leaves every where the mother was trying to distract me.
This little fella was all tangled up after having fallen down.
