Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I’m thankful for the 95%, the rest sometimes has me shaking my head hoping those asking can tell the difference and avoid the potential perils. Sad that some people get their kicks knowingly put out BS. Wife has a brother like that, thankfully he’s gotten a bit better with age. He thinks it’s humorous - NOT.

On the bright side, there seems to be plenty willing to jump in and caution against any poor advice. Nothing at all humorous about potentially putting someone's safety at risk, or even additional costs to fix things that shouldn't have happened in the first place, all at the expense of a joke.

I was a little disappointed that HF only has a 20% coupon for president's day weekend. On top of that they act like it's a special coupon since it's only good for 4 days. It has the same restrictions on what you can't buy and it's only good for one item. I'm thinking of getting a 2 ton engine lift. The current coupon for the lift is slightly better than 20% off but less than 25% so I've been holding off until this weekend. It's only about $10 so no big deal but I'm wondering if HF is going to phase out the 25% off?
2 ton Capacity Foldable Shop Crane

I bought one to lift the bed of my F150 off for repair. Works great! There is level loader available you might find handy as well.

3/4 ton Capacity Heavy Duty Load Leveler

The load levelers are really handy, makes doing engines a one man job.
If you're not in a hurry, you can sometimes beat the hf coupon prices by a lot. I picked up a 2 ton shop crane off craigslist for $120, and it came with a 4T load leveler. It was all put together and looked like it might have been used once.

Really. HF's Mig-180 welder was about $260 before it was superseded by the Vulcan and Titaniums.

I got one used that a 'mad scientist' type had upgraded in every way possible, apparently never used it, then after he lost the top plastic handle and the hub for tiny 4" spools, I got it for $25. And when I got there he included a Grizzly TIG welder with accessories, everything but bottles. Photo - both. Just the several spools of flux wire he included that he had tried out would have cost a lot more than the $25, I'm set for years. I bought the missing handle and hub, and the cord plugs, and had flux core and stick (from the Grizzly) all up and running still under $100. Both welders work fine.

Check Craigslist before buying expensive shop tools new, you never know what you might find!

How I bought my HF 3500 PSI pressure washer. Craigs List. 125 bucks, in the box, never started. Still going strong after 5 years. Another excellent HF buy even at regular price.

Reminds of an auction I was to last week. Gentlemen had passed away and they were selling all his stuff and I swear he had one of everything HF ever sold including their BH.

Never seen that many HF items in one place outside the store..!

LOL, sounds like my mother. she has every offering that Readers Digest offered as she thought that she'd win that jackpot!
We literally tossed it all to trash.

I dropped one of the blue puck lights about 2 feet. Now only the little end light works, not the big side light.

I even dropped it again to see if it would fix itself. It didn't.
