Since there's no such thing as free energy I am looking forward to your posting of video links that state otherwise.

You obviously did not comprehend my post.

I asked you . How much power can this pumped system supply ? How many of these pumped systems are required to store power to make wind and solar possible to power the country 24/7.

Seems your reply is only a question in response to an answer request!

In a discussion about why Nissan failed to gain long term success as a EV maker with their Leaf several things get mentioned. While the civil war between the French and Japanese mindsets of the last two decades was a factor the over riding technical factor was they NEVER figured out to build EV batteries after all of these years.

Why is Tesla the number one talked about EV today? The three top reasons are batteries, batteries and batteries. Look at the dates on the articles below. 14 years ago Tesla was laying the foundation that let them become an over night success over a decade later. :)

Tesla is something different, more a hitec company playing a very different game when it comes to investors and research and development. Traditional car makers dont have the luxury to start with no traditions and have conservative buyers, share holders, workers and management.

How many of the traditional car companies makes the shift remain to be seen.

Nissan changes leadership, dealer incentives as it tackles U.S. sale slump

I can see this is part of Nissan image issue. For 20 years now it has been selling steeply discounted vehicles to gain market share. Sadly increasing one's non profitable market share leads to death. Pricing too low is the curse of most any business. In the EV space Nissan is wanting to change their super discounter image and charge $45K for the Ariya EV due out in a year or two as a competitor to Tesla Model 3 but they have never yet mastered the making of large long lasting battery packs for all climates. There are too many charges and counter charges of corruption at the corporate level for investors to take them serious about even having the ability to change. It seems the real facts are not easy to find and worse no one seems even to care because it is easier to just right off the the entire corporation since there are more exciting players in the EV market place today. Other than VW/Ford partnership I am not sure of the commitment of the others. GM is pouring in billions but they have not offered more than basic 4 seat EV yet as far as I know. GM may be 5+ years away battery wise from where Tesla was yesterday. Anyone can slap a motor and battery into an ICE car chassis but it seems few can build one from ground up but I expect like the 4 minute mile once broken showed other runners it can be done and they are still doing it. Telsa has burned billions since they stated in 2003 and why they are ahead of current EV makers. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to build a successful EV company but it seems to greatly help. :)
