I'll bet there are people who wish they could get the virus and get it over with. If you got it early and it turned serious at least you would beat the rush at the hospital.

Oh no, they just canceled the huge SXSW (South by Southwest) in Austin TX because of the coronavirus scare.

"SXSW, which started in 1987, drew in about 417,4000 attendees in 2019. According to the event's demographics report, 26% of SXSW goers came from 105 different countries outside the US. I would bet thousands of people have it and don't know it. Remember the symptoms are like the flu.

They waited long enough to cancel it.

Doesn't matter to me anyway. One look at guest speaker list should keep most people away...but not 417,4000 from around the weirld.

Here in KY we have our first confirmed case today.
Funny how this affects people.
While in Walmart today I went by the aisle where they keep the hand sanitizer to see if the stories about it being sold out were true. There were four ladies and their carts jammed in there. Three of the ladies were just starring at the empty shelf in silence while the fourth was on her phone telling someone that she would just buy alcohol and use it. They were still there when I left. Never looked to see if the alcohol was sold out.
Ammo seemed to be in good supply.

I saw that and was thankful it was 300 miles east of Murray but we are only 150 miles from the case in Franklin (Nashville) TN. I have not been to WM in a couple weeks so I guess I need to go tomorrow and see if I can find about 100 cans of tuna should I have to say at the house for a long time.

Thankfully the virus is not life threatening for most but can be deadly for people with other serious health issues already and especially in the 70-90 age groups.

The health community is looking at mid April for the the virus to start impacting our area but who knows. Since our gut microbiome is a large part of our immune system as is our mental health and diet those three things I am focusing own. Well staying out of WM, church, etc is being recommended by some.
