I saw this one a couple days ago, not sure how much that 1/2 van, weighs, but I would think it's a no brainier that it's nose heavy. I also think that just because your vehicle specs say it can tow "X" weight, if your tongue weight is far exceeded, than maybe you should consider that total is decreased a bit. Obviously no one on here would ever do something like this...:thumbsup:
You cant see it very clearly, but the tongue is close to dragging.

Around 3000lbs, and the engine/transaxle is in the rear.

Generally specs say that a "properly equipped" vehicle can tow X amount of trailer, but most people overlook that part.

It's pretty sad when you have to install a locking Job Box in your locked van. Perhaps the signs on the van should say "Caution, Hazardous Waste."

Tweakers don't care.

In SF the universal advice to tourists is don't leave even a phone charger visible, and certainly not luggage or coats, so you don't return to find the window broken. The city is overwhelmed with crazies from all over the world.

On the other hand nothing can diminish the City's magical feeling. Here's a photo of City Hall my daughter just sent us. She took it this evening on her way home from work.

The kids who mobbed San Francisco 50 years age were looking for this magic. Too bad that predators from all over immediately followed them.

Double Cab Pickup '60 - '63 - 2480 lbs. Those things were extremely short wheelbase and way tail heavy. The back end would come around and get in front of you if you hit a bump in a corner.

If that's a Uhaul trailer then I expect the trailer weighs as much as the VW.

The 4Runner's rear tires aren't squished. I think its just a poor hitch height, nothing more.

The tow vehicle appears to be sitting pretty level. It’s possibly been lowered. I think a poor hitch height is causing most of the problem.
