My daughter is living in England. She calls their approach to the epidemic "thinning the herd". It will probably work over here too. Might help to make social security solvent.

Two part answer

One: Some people are envisioning the worst case scenario where there is a total breakdown in the supply chain...That is not going to happen with this virus...
Two:
Not all Americans are devoted "preppers" and don't keep a years worth of goods and groceries on hand...IMO the stocks in stores will be back to normal long before the virus is out of mind of most...But a majority of people will still have to go to the store, they simply will be trying to limit their time in public places which is only prudent considering...

Like I said in a previous post...grocers and pharmacies etc. should be required to screen their employees at least daily...

If the effing media would not have made such a big deal reporting about the spike in TP sales there would still be plenty on the shelves...

Remember the 22 ammo shortage? There's plenty now, (well up to a week ago)

Bought a 12 pack in early November, maybe late October. It lasted until mid January. About then I was placing a 'pick up in store' order and needed a few more bucks to be able to use a coupon, so instead of ordering one, I made it 2 12 packs. I figure I'm good until June, maybe July.

Unless we're all dead by then.

My comment is two fold, First is, why bother. If you contract it, you'll know it pretty quick and secondly, the central government always fiddles while Rome burns. Been that way as long as I can remember, not going to change. Best offense is a good defense. My defense is being the hermit that I am and always will be, Besides, I don't like people in general. I find most people to be disgusting a'holes.

Finally, don't come to my place with ill intent, you won't like my greeting.......:drink:

Liar, liar, pants on fire. Why are you here?

Our Maryland daughter just sent a note that her company has now called everyone out of the field, wherever they were working, and whatever they were working on. Not because of the virus as such. They are worried about unpredictable travel bans and airlines shutting down, and employees being unable to return home for possibly a long time.
