It's a sad world when somebody is going to get shot over toilet paper.

You missed the point. It is not about TP. If the SHTF, and you have nothing worth taking, it would be a waste of ammunition to kill you...you will die shortly anyway.

If you have something others want, they will try to take it from you. It could be food, fuel, your wife/daughter, the list goes on. You will have two choices...let them have what they want, or protect it.

You are correct about one thing. It is a sad world. Look at the fights on Black Friday over things that mean nothing to survival. Now, think about your family needing to survive and the stakes get higher...a lot higher. Victims have common traits...too much trust in others, thinking bad things will not happen to them, a lack of situational awareness, and being unprepared.

But at least you have realized it is a "sad world". So knowing that, what is your plan?

The only thing to fear is fear itself. I know what "sad" is as I was a Police Officer for over 30 years and fortunately my area is a little more civilized as we don't have fights on Black Friday. My plan is to continue on with life as we always have and to overcome any obstacles. I would not recommend trying to take anything from my farm as I will defend my family and property. But I will not hoard Toilet Paper of Ammunition!

I attribute the lack of parenting skills to the generations of 'Day Care' graduates raised in the school of "Your Stuff is also My Stuff". The 'parents' are the zoo-keepers. No more individualism just bland, stupid idiots buying toilet paper. They need so much of it that the target 'area' needs to be covered by square yards of T.P. in order to let them wear their underwear inside out as well as outside in.

That is all my school district is any more.....day care until they are 18 years old. We have lost the focus of getting the kids ready for the real world by their late teens and many parents are not showing tough love either.

Since I moved here over 20 years ago, someone has died in nearly every house on this road. In some houses, everyone that lived here then has died. Some houses are now vacant, others have new, younger occupants.

Other houses have occupants that are now (obviously DUH!) older, some of whom are in failing health such as heart problems.

+10. I'm exactly of the same vein. If it don't belong to you, don't try and take it. You won't like the result and I too don't need an arsenal if ammunition. It only takes ONE if you are competent that is. I own a couple long guns that will do the deed at over 1000 yards. I hunt with them out west btw.
