Good movies,,, well there are a few.......

A really great movie, that not many know about, is a "Western" made in Australia entitled "The Proposition". I have forgotten much of it, but I do remember a great performance by the late John Hurt of "Elephant Man" fame. I would like to see it again sometime.

Here's another movie I watched recently, entitled "Sideways". It's a really eerie movie, about a couple of guys who take a trip just before one of them is to get married. They do things that to me are outlandish, but nevertheless things that are certainly within the realm of possibility. I couldn't stop watching it, even though it made me uncomfortable at times.

See this is where the rating R in totally messed up, I just watched The Highwaymen, it was no ware's near the R rating if you watched that last worst Rambo movie, if Sylvester is gonna start near the end of his movie career making garbage like that then I'm all done with him.

The Highwaymen was about the murdering Bonnie and Clyde final ambush, we'll never no for sure how exactly it went down but according to movie they got about 10 sec to surrender, I have the feeling they didn't want to surrender but we'll never know, anyhow they got shot with about 100 rounds+ from dozen law officers and Texas Rangers, maybe back then in the 30s the law didn't fool around, like when a cop says stop or I'll shoot you stopped or got shot, the way it should be.

Either way I give it 4 stars as in worth a watch epecially if one likes true story's. It wasn't all this shootum-up bangem-um but a good story, true story, just dont know why it was rated R, no swearing, sex, extreme violence..... If it hasn't been mentioned, The Duelists is Ridley Scotts first movie and is fantastically shot, a real gem of a little movie that is based on two real French officers who dueled each other a total of 17 times over a period of decades. Crazy. The historical accuracy of the final stunning duel is accurate.

Digressing slightly, did a quiz a few days ago and one question was what was the name of Gene Autry's horse, I had no idea, I knew the owners of Trigger and Silver but not this one, I do now but wonder how many others don't.
