Sure looks heavy duty from this side of the world.

You have been busy! Have you figured out how much it will weigh compared to the old one?

Still techno dancing? :)

And it fits...gotta wash those windows...sorry, ther's always some dust flying around in the workshop :)
Some hoe that rod with the straps around it dont fit the decor and dont wash window with anything that has ammonia in it unless it's glass.

Yes, it's a mechanical self leveling system. That's the best way to do it

I wonder about that...I gotta admit that self-leveling based on variable geometry parallelograms is a seductively clever gismo to a designer. But....

I don't know if hydraulic self leveling works as well or less well than mechanical - my guess is hydraulic is not as absolutely accurate or repeatable or reliable as mechanical self leveling. But it might be easier to turn the hydraulic style leveling off when not needed. That's important. For the work we do in construction or dirt moving there are more times when we need an adjustable bucket angle than that are times when self-leveling is needed.

But anyway, I'm not real familiar with mechanical self leveling. Our machines come with selectable hydraulic leveling. Is mechanical as easy to disconnect as hydraulic leveling? How is the disconnect done?

Also depends on what type of hydraulic self leveling is used.

If it's a self leveling valve or a pair of cylinders parallel to the lift cylinders and connected with the curl cylinder as shown in the attached picture.

The first one, I don't know as I've never seen it working in person but I'm aware it can "lose" position. The second style, works pretty good and in my opinion can be slightly superior to the mechanical linkage because it doesn't create that flimsy effect on the bucket due to the leverage on the curl linkage.

Notice the small cylinders above the lift cylinders for the self leveling.

RScotty, you can't disconnect mechanical self leveling while working with the loader. It's a challenge to design it properly but once it's done it works great all the way to the max height.
I based mine on a at least 45 deg dump angle and almost perfect leveling to the ground because I use pallet forks alot.
Hydraulic self leveling loses position quite frequently. We also have an M4072 with front loader and hydraulic self leveling...and i have to say it does not keep the position as it should. 3-4 times up-down and it's quite a bit off true level...

Wow see what happens when you add self leveling system to your tractor.....................

 I wouldn't of guessed that in a million years, guess that explains that rod but I wonder what the advantage or purpose is, ummm I'm drawing a blank, again.........

The rod is connected to the plate that the tilt cylinder is mounted on moving it as the loader arms raise or lower. This keeps the bucket or forks at the same angle set before the arms move.

If you level a pallet and just raise or lower the arms, the pallet will stay level:
