I'm new to this whole tractor buying thing, but I'm in need of one. I came across a new 2017 New Holland Boomer 47 at a dealer about 2 hours from me: loader, bucket, and Hydrostat. They are asking $30,900. I am also in need of a box blade, fluid for tires (I will be installing a grapple in the future for brush work) and will also need a 3rd function for the front. I offered $25,500 and was turned down and told they were already at their best price. I thought they would be more willing to negotiate for a tractor that has been on their lot for a few years. the unit is eligible for 0% for 60 months and has full factory warranty. What am I missing here. Any thought on price would be great...thanks!

OP, where are you located? Pricing varies region to region, sometimes by several thousand!

There are several listed on Tractor House.

We are selling everything faster than we can prep and deliver. I have no idea why but April has been WAY above the same month for the previous two years I have been at this dealership.

I cannot dispute that you are.... "selling everything faster than we can prep and deliver".
I DO doubt that scenario will be the same by the time October arrives.

I have a hard time trying to make sense of a lot of things recently. My first thought is that with the hits individuals and the economy have been taking, nobody should be buying much of anything they don't really need. Could it be that with the CV19 quarantine many folks are bored and want a tractor to take advantage of the downtime?

I'll need to replace my company vehicle when I retire. That should be within a year. We pretty much decided on a Tahoe. Been watching the prices on Cargurus for several months. A few dealers have raised their prices recently. I was wondering if that was so they could pretend to give customers a huge discount or what they're up to. We are waiting till the new generation shows up (was supposed to be mid-year) before getting serious. My hope was that when the 2021's do finally come out there will be good deals on either the 2020's or the new ones - or both.

Hang on.....new car sales will almost certainly be in the tank, by the end of this year, if not well before.

First - Welcome Aboard! I started a reply earlier and got sidetracked. Have a look at Tractorhouse.com to get an idea on how it compares with the ones they list. Seems like the reason they still have a new 2017 is that they're just a tad too proud of it.

It would be that way any year, and probably this year moreso. But claims that nothing is moving and a universal buyers market exists today are vastly overstated, especially without knowing where the OP is located.
