I MUCH prefer wood heat in my home, as does my wife BUT, propane is cheaper right now, so I'm using both, wood and propane, depending on how lazy I am. lol IF propane goes back up, I'll go all wood again...

Around here, I know lots of folks that heat with all wood...

How much is propane there? It jumps between $2.50 and $4 here.. Not sure what it is right now cause I've not bought any in a while.

I have quarentined myself on my 7 acres in N. Georgia for about 7 weeks now. I'm staying in my camper and using propane for heat and cooking. I have 6 20 lb tanks and till this trip have never used all of them. I refilled them locally for $12 each. I think that is around $2.50 a gallon.

Yep... I don't buy it and only cut enough for me.. 2-3 cords a year is all.

I do the same now, 2-3 cords a year and sometimes I'll drop off a 1/2 cord or so to one of my renters who has been there for 19 years . . .

I heat my house with it but I’m getting paid to haul off trees and I need most of the equipment anyway so it does save money. I’ve got a lean to work under so I can work on the firewood in bad weather when I’m not doing anything else.

I bought some in the winter, it was $1.69, I'm guessing it will be even less the next time I buy it.

I don't know about propane, but gasoline is starting to creep up here. $1.64.9 Saturday, $1.70.9 at the same place this AM.

I bought gas the other day for $.95, diesel was $2.10, now you know why my diesels are sitting. lol

No medical problems. Just don't want to be in with the population that may give me one. I (wife also) just happened to leave SW Fl just as all this (virus) was becoming news. And as usual were going to camp out in Georgia for about 3 to 4 weeks. But decided to stay.
