Deere 2030 and commercial greenhouse

Hello Everyone!

I just bought land and I have a John Deere 2030 tractor and a 35'x96' greenhouse that were part of the deal. I have two questions:

1. The tractor has a hydraulic problem but I don't know exactly what the problem is yet. It has 4-5 implements with it. I love the old tractor but the reality is that I'm a convenience guy. I don't want to spend my time working on a tractor and I don't want to spend my money restoring this one. It runs great, just has the hydraulic problem and it's very old. How would you determine the value of this machine and does it make sense to just trade it in?

2. Regarding the greenhouse, I may grow a garden in it and/or put some aquaponics ideas in place. I don't know that I'll get around to it. Do any of you know if there is a market for selling it with the buyer required to disassemble? Any thoughts on how to determine that value?

Haven't found a blue book to value the tractor. I did find some used greenhouses for sale though. May try posting it and seeing what happens.

What kind of greenhouse is it, manufactured or stick built in place? It isn't uncommon to sell a tubing and plastic style greenhouse.

Thanks. I guess I should have been more clear. I see them all for sale but I don't know what causes the price disparity. I don't know anything about what adds or detracts from the value. Are hydraulic problems typically complicated on older models? Would you use a dealer to check it out or would you find a mobile mechanic? I can figure out just about anything but I know nothing about the tractors. Do trade in values work like they do with cars? Thanks for the links. They are helpful.

It is manufactured. So many things I could do with it but I just don't have time and I'm thinking I'd rather have cash to spend on a tractor. I did find a very similar one for sale on eBay. It's similar to this one. It has sliding doors but the wall rolls up much nicer than this one. Any more specifics on "hydraulic problems"?

Maybe its something simple like filters or sticky valve. Lots of knowledgeable folks on here might be able to tell you if its worth pursuing repairs or not.

I'm taking possession of it Friday. I'll get the hours. The guy I bought the land from hasn't answered me regarding what the problem is yet. Hopefully I'll hear from him soon.
