I will be buying a IH 7400 or 7500 6x6 in the next 2 years and it will be from 3000 miles away in California. Its about the only place they are readily available

That is a BEEFY looking truck!!!
What is your planned use?

I drove three hours one way to get my Duramax with a grey interior.

Haul square bale hay from fields to buyer and if I’m able to afford it, Id like to buy a “ live floor “ dump trailer with tailgate spreader capability to spread compost soils on my fields.
I don’t know if itll happen, but thats the plan

That truck has less HP than a F150 ecoboost, so I guess I should reconsider???

1 1/2 to 3 hour drive is nothing for me as we enjoy driving and what is an hour drive cost? $5-10 an hour? Big deal. Have you ever waited an hour for your wife while she shopped and came out with little or nothing???

as far the math works out. Gas cost money so does hotels and incidentals. Theres also traveling to buy something you just cant find by you as well. Ive seen guys drive 2-3 days round trip to save 500 bucks for get that noise.

I bought a live floor TOP DRESSER last year. DSC00033.JPG

Had a friend put those wings on it to accomodate a larger load of wood chips and a plywood sheet goes up front.

Rear cowling over drum is off in the picture.

Only had to go a couple of hours for this one.

It's 90 miles to the nearest dealer for me. When shopping 4 years ago I looked for a long time and there were virtually no clean used tractors out there; when I found one, they wanted some stupid price for it.
I ended up buying my slightly used 3301 from a dealer almost 200 miles away; had it delivered to my mother's house where I hooked up my father's Woods BH and paid $500 to have it hauled home.

What are your thoughts about this one:
2011 MASSEY-FERGUSON 1532 ~900 hours hst
Would you steer clear of a Massey?

No. I looked at them and probably would have ended up with one; but the way their warranty is written, using my 3pth backhoe would completely void the warrantee; not just due to damage caused by using that implement.

Last June, I drove 350 miles each way, some of it over only fair condition rural roads, to get my L48 TLB.
Used, original owner L48 TLBs, with exceptionally low hours, are not to be found around every corner.
I have continued watching L48s listed for sale over the past 11 months, and there has been nothing available anywhere, with similar features, or in similar condition.

How far away did the guy that bought your vintage Ford super nice TLB have to drive ?
