Comparison who makes the best tractor for the money

Funny, I saw a Gator Dealer Video of the guy bashing the plastic hood with his fist, saying how great a feature that is. Any old ones I have seen were ALL broken and cracked. I have little doubt, that they COULD use a more appropriate plastic.

I am still convinced that the answer to the OP will only be revealed with time and that is of little use.

If Hyundai builds as good of a car as Kioti does a tractor then I would choose one over the Toyota just as I choose the Kioti over the kubota.
By the way Kioti has been building tractors since 1968. So they aren’t exactly the newcomer you want to make them out to be!

By the way I am looking at the title for our 1991 Hyundai which we purchased for the young in’s to use at college when the Toyota we had didn’t prove to bee too reliable. This thing went threw **** and back and still runs like a champ. Wanna buy it, my guess is it will outlive your Toyota as 3 grand children couldn’t kill it!

Im in the market, tractors are expensive, Im getting ready to spend ( in my opinion still ) ALOT of money on a Kubota, Im considering the Kubota cause I have one already and its been a great tractor but Ive never owned any other brand.

I also like orange VERY much.

I also like old Mopars and old Fords but wouldnt consider a Chevrolet unless I was getting a screaming deal......why?.....I dont know, its just because.

So is there a way to leave out all the emotions and decide on what the best tractor is for the money?

Im talking major brands that are most likely gonna still be here in 10-20 years.....A kioti for instance might not make the cut for this discussion since they may not be quite tried and true....no offense to Kioti guys

Id just like to make the wisest decision.

Im looking for a no frills tractor, I have 5 acres, Im working on developing the land for a future residential home and this includes moving dirt/materials, whatever stump removal I can accomplish ect ect

By the description of your chores list, you should like a true TLB candidate.

Used? Id be looking at a Kubota L-48. New? an M62. A “utility” tractor with a small backhoe is nice, but the backhoes are slow moving and don’t feel as attached to the tractor.
These Kubotas really nice machines and they can do 3 point work when you remove the backhoe. They can move dirt and materials, dig out stumps, then mow those nice newly cleared areas you make of grass and brush.
Another option is to buy or rent a full size backhoe to do all your dirt work, then sell or return it. Then buy a tractor which can accomplish your subsequent chore list.
The one downside to an L48/M62 is one your dirt work and stumps are done, the backhoe may see little use.
I think youre smart not taking any chances with secondary brands.

Best tractor for the money? That depends on many variables, subjectivity, and opinion. How much money do you have? How expensive are your tastes? Do you like luxury or the simple life? Do you tend to be content with your objects or are you always looking for something more? Is keeping up with the Jones important? What may be a value for one person may not be considered a value for many other people.:2cents:

As far as the plastic vs metal argument, there are pros and cons on both sides. Metal dents while plastic will crack. Metal has its limits on styling and shape while plastic is unlimited. Metal is noisy and will rattle while plastic tends to be quieter. My NH tractor had all "plastic" fenders, hood, and panels. It never had a crack or break after 19 years and I think it is a positive selling point for me.
