Guys I need help want to buy a Everlast Tig welder not sure which one. I see some are Dv, Ext, and Ex. Not knowing much of tig it's a little intimidating. I know I want pulse, wave settings, hf. Thinking maybe 200,210,250 or 255 idk help or thoughts
Personal use but don't want to have to buy again

You will want one of the EXT units if you want wave form control. That narrows it down to the 210EXT and the 255EXT. You'll find that all AC/DC TIG welders have HF start. Both the 210 and the 255EXT products are good, stable units. It is ultimately going to depend upon the power you need, and what kind of stick welding you will be doing.

Price-wise, I couldn't find the features of the Power MTS251si anywhere else at the amp capacity. PowerMTS 251Si with TIG Package | Everlast Generators I got mine with the full Tig package, and a better price OTD from Everlast than from Amazon. (much < $2k, btw)



There's quite a bit to its tig-pulse capability, if that' anything like the 'waveform feature' desired. (no 'synergic' on Tig or stick, but ..)

Needless to say the #26 Tig torch is a bit big for my likely use at ~125a in any mode. For that matter, so is the #36 Mig torch it came with. :laughing:

Love the zippered denim jacket on the Tig hoses, too. :thumbsup:

I picked up a 251si during the November sale to get the synergic and migl pulse capability. Didn't need the TIG as i already purchased a 255EXT for the wave form flexibility. Had already ordered a 230i, but then saw the features on the 251 Si and decided it was worth the extra $350. Everlast redirected my 230i to another customer mid dhipment and replaced it with the 251SI for just the price difference. I used it yesterday to repair a farm gate hinge. The synergic process put down some nice beads between the 1/8" hinge strap and the 24ga tubing

The Lightning 275 would just about be the equivalent to the 255EXT and 251SI pair. (no sine wave form, pulse only on TIG, but Synergic on all modes, 251SI form factor?[)

One benefit of the 255EXT is that it is slightly smaller and has 1 more wave form (sine wave). I had to carry a stick welder power source to stitch together some rebar, and was thankful that the 255EXT was smaller and lighter than the 251SI. I've been very pleased with the performance of the Everlast line. I also have a their 60i PowerPlasma.
