The Morgans switch to Kubota

The amusing thing is, I got a call over the weekend from a guy that watches this channel. He had read this thread and my post, and said to me, "you should have put that he pimps his wife out, because that's what he is doing". So there you have it, some can see what's going on and some can't...

As for me, I don't give a chit what Mike has or how much money or land he has or how much his channel makes, I'm surely not a hater either. I just posted the truth about what I, and many others see of what he's willing to do to get subs and views...

When I saw that comment about the wife, I expected a booby wife swinging a splitting maul wearing jammies etc.
Where her entire reason for being was for the eyeballs and subscribes.
In which case I would then be surprised Kubota would agree to work with them.

Not at all, and I'm not surprised the guy would be pissed at the accusation.
The suggestion that the Morgan channel is pimping the wife suggests other motives
because it doesn't even stand up to the eyeball test.
Maybe pimping by simply including her.

TractorTimeWithTim, Millennial Farmer and the Morgan's are my most watched. They are done well and provide good and entertaining information. The Millennial Farmer's half a million dollar tractor and combine are a little out of my needs and budget but still entertaining. Tim's channel is great because much of the work he does is similar to what many of us do and his equipment choices fit nicely as well.

The Morgan's property, and how nicely it is kept, is another reason I like their channel. I don't know the Morgans but to me they represent what is great about owning a piece of property, maintaining it and sharing their experiences. If they make a little money doing this then so be it. The attack on their family by some here is shameful. They deserve better.

Agreed... I have never heard one nasty or mean remark on Mike's channel; the guy seems to be 100% positive on his family and his life. Plenty of people around here hate that for some reason.

I blame all these 'TV people' on the Kardasithings. If it wasn't for them, I'm not sure so many would be using eye candy (if that what you want to call it) to gain views for profit.

And before he goes back on the 'yer jus' jellus a'me' rant, no, not jealousy. Pity maybe. I feel sorry for people that seem to feel the need for the validation and approval of others all the time. And I feel even more sorry for the family members they drag into it.

I don’t know the Morgans, but wonder why someone who has editorial control over their YouTube comments would allow comments like, “your wife has a nice figure” to remain in the comments section. Additionally, OWTM has weighed in on this thread to say it’s been good exposure for the channel. So, there seems to be some acceptance of the comments directed towards the family. Otherwise, why would you keep the thread alive? Not only keep it alive, but troll the critics on TBN by replying to pro-OWTM comments and making a point that you are not going away. As mentioned earlier, celebrities never win a pissing match with their audience. The controversy may have short term returns, but I imagine at some point the ongoing exposure might be regrettable.

Notably, it hasn’t been a single outlier that feels OWTM was using the wife to sell viewership. A number of responders to this thread feel that way. Not sure what OWTM intentions were, but they should realize that their actions are going to be perceived in various ways by different people. That doesn’t make those critics perverts, haters, or trolls. OWTM has received ample feedback and can alter their approach, remain the same, or deal with the criticism. Good luck to OWTM.

Well yeh, the wife is definitely there to increase views. It's not too subtle, clothing a bit close-fitting and all that, got the makeup on, yeh yeh, we all get it. But it's not like she's strutting around in miniskirt and heels or anything while salaciously flirting in front of the camera, there's nothing improper there other than some tame use of sex appeal. They're obviously there to make money, so they use some of that, big deal? It's the american way.

But I also agree with you, ain't a wise move for this Morgan fella to come and do battle here with some yokel who can't rub two words together without coming off as a douchebag. There's no winning here for a "celebrity", youtube or otherwise.

Both the wife and I wear close fitting clothing when working around our equipment (we were taught that way on the farm, and learned experiences) ...she wears makeup everyday... I don't wear makeup.
