It’s better trees, better lumber, more rot resistant, and the logs bring twice as much.
I think you should get a BSM, it will give you something to do in your spare time and sawing cedar really smells great.
I'd like to see how that works come Fall with a touch of snow in the air........We like clean logs too, and this is how we do it!

Picked up the last bit of wood I had out in the woods yesterday. Got all I need now in the sun and ready to go in the shed.

I don't clean my logs, but I don't drag them through the woods either..

I do very little cleaning of my logs too. BUT, The logs pictured, I logged for a customer and had to be drug through a sand pit, so washing them was a must and was really no big deal to do.
I took quite a few logs out on that job, and there was only one way to get them out... Here's one of the loads,
