Ym 226, for starters the pto stopping working. I fixed it. Now the tractor will not move in any gear selection. When the hi/low range is in gear you can稚 roll it, when you put hi/lo in neutral you can roll it. I need some help, didn稚 mess with the transmission when I fixed the pto.

Is your pto working with power? Does your range shift handle feel like it is actually engaging gears? I don't know a whole lot about power shift but wondering if it is not normal to be able to roll it when in gear. Thinking those hydraulic clutches only engage when running. Someone with a powershift tell us.

Tictac,
Did you change the hydraulic fluid and filter at the same time, or is this something that just happened while you were using it?
Like winston said, are the levers engaging, have you looked underneath where the lever enter the tractor to see if the shaft is moving or if the linkage is loose?
Have you checked the shifter handle on the dash to make sure it works good?
Please give us some more info

Just a gut feeling, not based on anything beyond taking apart and overhauling a Hydramatic many years ago: The Powershift feels like it needs the conventional clutch engaged to spin the second hydraulic pump, the little one inside the transmission that is spun by the transmission input shaft. It's impossible to make a smooth start when engaging the foot clutch pedal, because the pressure rise inside the transmission is a moment later.

Just a 'feeling' but it feels like the Powershift has a clutch pack (like a motorcycle) that doesn't cleanly disengage before that input pump sends fluid to it. It may be designed so that it has two gears engaged at the same time until that pressure rise - which serves as a parking brake.

My impression is based on comparison between 3 Yanmars. The YM240, a first YM186D, then the second YM186D that has a loader. The YM240 will roll away on the slightest incline. I once made the mistake of assuming it wouldn't move on rough just-disced ground and had to chase it a few feet and drop the loader before it hit anything. Feels the same as any m/t vehicle. The first YM186D was clearly reluctant to move first thing in the morning, I could feel that internal transmission resistance I described above, first time in the morning when I put it in gear to back out of the barn. Not much parking-brake effect during the day but perceptible. Second YM186D has noticeable parking brake effect any time the transmission input shaft isn't turning. This photo - harvesting the family pear tree - is an example of a location where I would drop the YM240's loader to make that tractor stable so the trailer wouldn't run over my foot or something, while the YM186D doesn't need that, it 'knows' to not move. Just a subjective feeling but its real. There must be something in Yanmar's technical literature describing this.

I drained the oil and cleaned the strainer. I put in new oil in it

I know the hi/low is engaging. The gear selection handle mounted on top of trans, I can feel the fork switching.

Could the wrong oil type cause the trans not to work, but the pto and 3 point hitch work fine? I put premium hyd/trans tractor fluid in

Wrong kind of oil could cause problems but sounds like you have the correct kind. Being more specific about your fluid is ok. Pto has nothing to do with fluid, hydraulics do.

When you changed the hydraulic oil did you also change the disposable hyd. filter? If so, one of the quirks of the YM226 is that you should fill the new canister manually with oil as full as you can before installing it (this is true with all models with a vertically mounted filter). You would think that a tractor with a 5 gpm pump would fill the canister in a few seconds, but we have found that it takes as long as 10 to 15 minutes of running the engine to fill the filter, purge the air and build up hyd. pressure enough to make the tractor move.
I have two YM226 tractors and this is one of the things I have learned. Hope this helps you.
