First fluid change? I use nothing but Kubota branded fluids. How much are you really saving?

I read that the oil mfg folks right wherever they want and there is no way to know if it really meets spec. In my case I use Kubota hst fluid.

There was a lot of write-ups on UDT and Super UDT years ago. I don't recall specifics but there was a substantial difference between the two. How does Coastal meet both specs? For a 20 year old rag tag tractor, I'd probably use Coastal. But NOT for a 200 hour tractor.

I called the below and tech support said equivalent.
also on Kubotas site and in the manual it states UDT or Super UDT to be used...
Super UDT II is a multipurpose for all weather... cold ad hot. I live in Florida and it should be thicker...

I see if you don't get a satisfactory answer on OTT, you mine this forum for an answer. The answer is still the same. Cheapo fluid isn't Kubota SUDT.

People amaze me...

What makes you think Coastal is cheep quality?
Warren Oil Company makes oil for most other oils brands like STP etc...
Oh I get it, opinion, not fact.

Just saying Kubota is not the only quality brand out there in case you don't know.
Thanks for your opinion.

Do we know that? Has anyone seen an independent lab comparison?

That's exactly my point.

Just saying Kubota is not the only quality brand out there in case you don't know. I printed there pdf which stated ubota UDT and Super UDT.

In Kubotas own manual it stated use UDT or Super UDTII

it is over an hour drive to a Kubota dealership, and other quality brands are sold locally. like Coastal by Warren Oil Company. Warren Oil Company also make the exact same multitrac tractor fluid being sold my STP.

Thanks for the response.

I wouldn't call STP as a non-cheap example brand. (Your referral) The additive isn't what it used to be. It failed miserably against straight synthetic oil. If they're peddling STP motor oil now, I'd take the name with a grain of salt. As far as Warren making claims, what did the Kubota dealer say? Is it the same? That's where you'll be getting warranty work done, now doubt. :ashamed:
