Turning a tree top into a center cut 6x6.. this one is 16'6" long, pretty much the limit on my saw.
Keeping things square

I forgot to tell pool man that I liked this bucket picture, just look at all that sand I could use some of that up here.

I wouldn稚 be so sure about that. I built a 500 yard road last year and we had a dump truck my 310 backhoe and a 750 dozer on the job. The 750 could push a surprising amount of dirt. Past maybe 200 yards I could load it and haul it faster but he could push dirt 100 yards faster than I could haul it. The road was mostly cleared when we started but he could do a better job clearing trees than I was given a dozen credit for. I知 sure an equal weight excavator would be better but the dozer could do better than my 310 could at removing trees. A tractor/backhoe combo is a far cry from a 310 and the 310 couldn稚 match the dozer. Not that surprising since the 750 weighs twice as much as the 310.

Well yeah a dozer is nice to have and works good for what you guys are doing and are able to have several machines. But lb for lb pretty hard to beat a excavator for digging up rocks, stumps and making ditches, next best thing is tractor with back-hoe.

Just curious how often you frllows adjust your clutches on hst? Two stage clutch. Heard a marble while machine was idling, or in gear. Only when clutch was pressed did it go away

A dozer has been on my Christmas list since I was about 5, it's still there because neither Santa nor my wife has gotten one for me. I guess I'll have to look for loose change around Hunt's pool or under Sawyer Rob's expertly plucked rocks to save up for one. Man, the things I could do!! Yes I understand that an excavator with a blade is more versatile, but there is just something about a CAT dozer pushing a mountain that takes me back to 5yrs old pushing a Tonka dozer in the sandbox.
