I'm putting up an Olympia steel building. Have a quote from the company (well a sub company called Silvercote) for faced fiberglass bats. The quote is fine, but got me thinking, I'd love to do this with rock wool (roxul) instead, but still get the great white finished vapour barrier look of the silvercote. Does anyone know of a company in Ontario (Canada) that would spec out this kind of insulation?

Most steel buildings "sweat",spray foam insulation may be a better bet.

Spray foam's goal is to stop air flow in/out of the building. This act can cause condensation if too efficient.

Are you going to have exposed insulation when it is finished or put metal or wood on the walls/ceiling? I worry about fire so I am going to use a "pbu" style 3/4" rib style panels for the walls and ceiling so there is no exposed insulation to get funky or possibly burn. Going to use white on all surfaces to help keep things brighter and mount them "rib in" so that there are no fasteners sticking up to snag things on, and have a flat surface to mount conduit to.

Not sure about Canada, but in most of the US, you can get spray foam insulation sprayed in (parts and labor) for right about $1.00 per square foot per inch of thickness.
IE, 500 sq feet 1 inch thick would run $500.00
And 500 sq feet 6 inches thick would run $6000.00
R value for foam is way higher than the equivalent of same thickness of fiberglass batts.
Since my shop walls in the Northern Rockies are 12 inches thick I went with fiberglass on the walls and 2 inches of spray foam on the roof and peaks.
This also acts as a vapor barrier and controls moister and condensation.

For what it's worth, here's what I know about spray foam. Two types, open cell and closed cell. Closed cell is much preferred. R value of 6-7 per inch. 95% of obtainable R value happens in first 2". Spraying walls and roof/ceiling will likely cause condensation in building and will require an evacuation ventilation system.

Great product when used with the intent of stopping air transfer.

I used and recommend closed cell spray foam, seals everything up tight. When you finally get that water leak, spray foam does not turn into a soppy, mouldy mess.

Another advantage.

I've heard of builders wrapping the structure before they add the metal siding. Then spray foam inside. This allows the removal of a piece of metal siding if ever needed.
