From day one, "they" said, EVERYONE" would get this. Just try and slow down the spread to get healthcare up to speed. 99 point something recovery rate, with most dying that have preexisting conditions.
Now, this push, that no one is suppposed to contract it, like it's the plague. I don't get it.
At first it was thought if you get it and were reasonably healthy and not super old, you would get sick as a dog but would fully recover. Now they are finding that around 25% to 33% of people are taking forever to recover and have significant lung damage, possible brain injuries, and heart problems and doctors don't have a good idea why.
A neighbor of mine who is at least 15 years younger than me and was always super energetic and healthy developed rapid onset heart failure and finally got a heart transplant last month and was very lucky to be alive. What I heard second hand from two other neighbors was that the doctors thought it was viral but because it was so early in the pandemic and he had not gone to China he did not get tested early on, but the timing now seems to point to a possible covid infection. Not trying to make a political issue out of this, but wearing a mask and avoiding crowds seems pretty prudent right now.
