Yeah really... that is the plan; disrupt the postal service to dissuade from mail in voting. As low as low can go...

I thought INFORMED people here on TBN realized that political commentary is TOTALLY inappropriate!
Editor: Please shut down this thread for such political commentary!

For our region package delivery was faster, safer and more reliable before the big delivery companies started using USPS. Why do they constantly set packages out to be rained on? Why are packages attached outside the mailbox on the road in used Walmart bags? My nearest neighbor is 3/4 mile away and we are 500 ft off the road. Easy for someone going down to road to steal. Do the delivery people get any type of training or guidance on package delivery? Clear plastic bags UPS uses cost pennies.

For years the rural carriers were happy with few packages and not having to get out of their vechicle. They don't like package delivery and the work involved.

I cringe whenever I see a statement like this. A government program or social program is not "socialism". Socialism is a system where the government controls the operation of the means of production, either by ownership or full control of the private owners. No country in western Europe is "Socialist", they have extensive social programs. The Left calls our social programs "Socialist" to lull us into thinking that socialism is benign. The Right calls our social programs "Socialist" to scare us into opposing any government action. They are both lying.

Several years ago I bought a boat in Ventura,Ca. through a boat broker in San Diego, Ca.. The down payment to secure the deal was $12,500 and the seller stipulated that it be sent in the form of a cashiers check Fedex over night. We did this and it got lost. The last time it was located was in Kentucky, never to be seen again. We really wanted the boat as it was a good deal so had to get another cashiers check for the same amount and try again. The second time it worked but we were out the extra $12,500 for a certain time period before a stop payment could be issued. I don't remember the exact time period but it was long enough to put us in a bind for a while.

We pay all our bills by check sent through the mail and have never had a problem. I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

How many USPS airplanes have you seen lately?
I don't get to our airport very often for work, but when I do, I see UPS and FedEx planes often.

About a month ago my wife found a good deal on a large pack of masks. She kept some for us and mailed some to our son, who lives about 120 miles away. Normally letters and/or packages take 2-3 days to be delivered. This one took 15 days. We had given them up as being lost. I've noticed some insurance papers I get from up north taking way longer than normal. There's no doubt the slowdown is real. I think I know the cause but I guess for some folks it's debatable.

If the post office would temporarily stop junk mail delivery they would probably have no trouble handling the additional mail-in-ballots, I receive junk mail practically every day here.

Since Amazon opened a large Hub in Seattle, we have received some orders in just 1 day. Direct flight from Seattle to Anchorage then some type of shuttle services drives it 189 miles to our local Post Office for delivery later that same morning.

Nothing slow for a package I received this morning and this is typical for most of my mail. My mail carrier has mentioned Covid has impacted some delivery times in some parts of the country in larger facilities with more people not being able to work in proximity to others the same way they once had.

Amazon quit using the USPS in my area about a year ago for the “last mile” (SurePost?) and replaced delivery with their contracted logo panel trucks. Two day delivery mostly on common items and occasionally one day. Seven days a week. Very nice. The drivers place the packages on my covered porch where my postal carrier leaves them against my closed garage door where they can be rained on.
