There's no semantics in there. It's pretty clear. If you don't agree with the law, and choose not to enforce it because of that, it's not officer discretion.

If you say so.....lol

When I pull over an adult without a seatbelt on, I inform them of the violation, then move on to whatever I stopped them for. Same way it is for many things. Same it would be if I was unlucky enough to work somewhere with a mask law.

Same way it plays out 1000s of time a day in the US. That absolutely is discretion.

If it痴 a frivolous law, like lawn clippings blown into the street, thank goodness our officers see that as such.

Defunding the police and expecting them to chase down the shameful non wearing masked outlaws is brainless to say the least.

That isn't as frivolous as you might think. Too often there are rocks, broken glass, and other debris kicked out with the grass. Get some bozo who opens his deflector and they can turn into missiles.

Yes. That is discretion. But not ticketing them because you don't agree with the law is not discretion.

Last year we were on vacation in Missouri/Arkansas. We came around a curve on a highway and someone was mowing their lawn into the highway. Didn't affect us. Guy on the motorcycle hit the grass clippings and slid sideways. Looked like a dirt track rider. Managed to keep it upright, regain control and get back into the lane. If there would have been oncoming traffic, or he didn't have the skills/luck he had with that foot-down save, he'd have been TOAST!

I've never said social distancing isn't effective. Masks, however, are effective. The question of which is more effective...blah, blah, blah......
Like I said in the post that got dusted...you are full of it...!

It does not matter how often you say something it does not make it so...you can say masks are effective (because of the moisture droplet research) but you can't even begin to say how effective they are in preventing the spread of the virus...unless you study actual subjects that do and do not wear masks in the same environments...you keep avoiding the subject of peeps getting the virus even though they were wearing masks...

LoL...There is very little I do not understand about how research science works...I dated a research zoologist for several years while she was working on her second dissertation...

FYI when a University funds research...that is part of the private sector...

BTW...I'm glad to see you are not letting your education get in the way of your ignorance...!

You need to get it straight...!
Other than pointing out the old adage about "those that can't do...teach"...show me where I mocked anyone's academic creds...

I may have made a comment about when someone cites their own education credentials on the Internet and the questions that that activity brings with it...but again show me where I "mocked" someone's creds or even their claims of such...

BTW...ever heard of "osmosis"...?

BURN! HAHahahahaha

\pine, maybe time to just be quiet for a while. Do some listening & thinking. RSR has been incredibly patient with you, providing dozens of links to accredited research. You've provided nothing but conjecture.
