this one may be very exciting!. Texas is known for life threatening weather now and then, though!.. the rebuilding stimulates the economy, that's why people move there!..

I took the day off today to get hay for the horses, put stuff away around the house, and get my mowing done. I have full tanks of gas in my truck and my wifes mini van. The generator, Mule and chainsaws are all full of fuel. I have diesel for the tractors and a 5 gallon can of gasoline for the generator. Batteries are charged for my cordless tools, and we have extension cords out in case we lose power.

I drove by Lowes in Lindale and there must of been 30 power company bucket trucks sitting in the parking lot.

Local weather guys are in panic mode. Anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of rain with 40 to 60 mph winds. Last time we had 60 mph gusts, I lost at least 20 big trees. I'm hoping the ones that made it through that storm are stronger today then they where then. But who knows?

Wife is working from home tomorrow when it's supposed to hit, and I'll stay home to deal with anything that might need dealing with.

ETA is 1pm Thursday

You should be good but it is going to come right over you.

Gov. Abbott has issued a disaster declaration. Includes counties all the way up to Cass, Bowie and Red River and also Smith County.

think about boats, in case the water goes to 20 feet!.. I hope people use common sense, and don't get themselves injured or killed, because they didn't get out of State, and avoid this storm!..

NEWS says it's going to be BAD!

However, I wish I had a dollar for every news report about a really bad impending storm, and got that wrong. The ODDS are kind of in that favour. Let's just hope. It's all you can do.

I'm setting in a motel room in Gulfport Mississippi , but we are heading to Lafayette, Louisiana first thing in the morning to help them get the lights back on or rebuild their electric system, whatever the case may be, from past experience with hurricanes in that area water and storm surge are usually the biggest issue.
