Moving MossFlower to new Woods...

Yesterday I moved the first load into the Shed, my hyd splitter, generator, some outdoor furniture, some plastic bins with christmas and other things (it rained all day, could not move cardboard etc.).

I also loaded up some of the junk from the shed and will do a trash run today.

Got a walk-thru with the kid who has been living there for the last year on secrets and such. This is going to be crazy.

I also got an offer on my rental so this ball is rolling full speed, the remodel begins as soon as I complete move in!

The trick when moving is to know what is junk and needs to be thrown away, and what you will actually use in the next ten years. Sadly, I tend to haul stuff around that I haven't used in years, and after tripping over it for another decade, finally get rid of it.

Haha ... yup. When I moved where I am now with my new Wife seven years ago, I found boxes of stuff I'd packed in 1986 when I married my first wife. Those boxes had remained unopened ever since. Finally got rid of that junk, as I clearly don't need it.

I've been trying to convince my wife ever since she moved in... that she doesn't need all those 'VIP' boxes after I finally asked her to show me what was inside. VIP = Very Important Papers... okay, show me! Utility bills from the 1990s. :mur:

I did this today. I'm a bit paranoid about shredding or burning all my old bills etc. ID Theft etc... BUT today I threw into the big compactor at the dump, all my old bills, old tech manuals, keyboards, cables, I literally filled my long bed on the F350 up over the top and threw it all away. I did not try to recycle.

I tried NOT to keep those VIP old utility bills etc...

I reduced the boxes stored in one section of my basement by well over Half...

I've still got a bit more to go... Then also the Attic...

Sigh...
