Oh I don't know about that one.

I know a few people who are dirty but see themselves clean in the mirror.

I know what you mean, but along that line - Tiger Woods was once quizzed on how he could lie to people for so long. His answer: "I fooled myself for so long, I lied to myself, but at the rehab I had a good look at myself and when all was stripped away I realised the magnitude of what I had done, and it was very brutal."

You can't even begin to deal with people who lie to themselves, never mind everyone else.

Last week I used the landscape rake for a small job and when I went to put it away I noticed that I forgot to tilt up the storage support leg. It's a piece of 1" x 1" tube with 2 holes in the top. It was bent so bad, the steel was torn apart at the pivot point. Had to cut off the top and weld on a new piece and drill 2 new holes for the pivot pin and the locking pin. Lesson learned. Nope!!! 2 days ago I did the same thing with the rear blade. I forgot to lift the support leg and drove off. As soon as I started grading with it I noticed there was a drag mark in the gravel. Thought it was a rock caught under the blade. Lifted the blade and there was no rock. Idiot! :duh: Back to the shop. Thankfully the support leg was a piece of 3/8" x 1 1/2" steel bar and could be straightened in the press.

Getting old and forgetful sucks.

Many of us are just too preocupied.

I can't tell you the number of times I have hooked something to a battery, told myself (Make Sure You Connect It Properly (Because you know) ) Only to get it backwards and blow something up. I mean, how hard can + to + and - to - be?

Makes me stop and wonder how many guys have done that, and charged the customer. Oh, circuit board is bad, or must have been that old "SURGE" everyone blames unexplained failures on.
