I have sets / pairs of 10" and 12", both the Diablo and the Avanti. Yes, the Diablo last me at least twice as long as the Avanti. But getting 2 of the Avanti for almost half of one Diablo, it makes it worthwhile to get them. They are used during the time that my Diablo blades are being sharpened (takes about 1 1/2 weeks turnaround time). I have some very expensive true Freud blades that were over $100 each... I rarely use them anymore. (They cost a fortune to sharpen... they are the "triple chip" blades)
I made the mistake ONCE.... of buying a 12" HF 80t saw blade.... it barely lasted one project....
Keep in mind that Diablo is the lesser quality Freud blade and Avanti is the next level below Diablo. I use the Freud blades on my Table and Miter saws but the Diablo on my hand held saws. The cut quality and longevity of the Freud blades makes them a good value for me, but I will swap them out with a cheaper blade for some materials that are going to abuse them. The vast majority of my wood wood work is with Baltic Birch plywood though.
