I am having a hard time getting the hitch pins off the lower lifting arms of a rcr 1872 land pride cutter. It looks like there痴 cat 1 pins but cat 2 bushings between the posts ( in the middle of both hitch pins) . I have cat two 3 point hitch. When removing lynch pins I can not pull the hitch pin out because the bushing are larger than the holes and I can稚 get them to budge off the smaller pin. I don稚 know much of anything about tractors but any help appreciated

If I'm understanding you correctly,
your tractor is a cat 2,
the mower is a cat 1,
the mowers lower hitch is a pair of flat plate that sandwich the lift arms with a cat 1 pin.
You are having difficulty pulling the pins.
can you access the other end of the pins with a smaller pin or punch and hammer.
After you make sure the pins are free,
Have you gotten all the loading of the pins fore and aft as well as up and down.
Then drive them out.
Depending on what you have for stabilizers you may need to loosen them also.

At times to free up the lower pins you can remove the top link,
then raise and lower the implement to get some slack in the pins.
Many times it helps to place some cribbing (blocks of wood) under your implement.

I can get the pins half way out until the larger bushing hits the side wall of the metal post then it痴 just stuck. I haven稚 tried to force it real hard as far as a punch from the other side

You may have to torch (heat) bushings and hammer the pins out. Or use angle grinder to cut pins and replace them.

If using a QH, change length of top link implement may be in a bind and QH can't lower and release.

Is the bushing almost out of the lift arm ball and getting out of alignment.
If you are getting it move some move the lift arm to the outside so that the ball and bushing are to the outside then drive it out.

Def get a quick hitch once you solve the problem.

Some of my 3-point implements are harder to remove the pins than others. I finally figured out why. Some implements are just very difficult to get the fore/aft - up/down loading off the pins. Others are quite easy. It can become a real PITA. Jig the 3-point arms up/down - move the implement fore/aft with my large pry bar.

I have a Crescent wrench dibble that helps a whole lot when aligning implements for attachment. View attachment 677932. A large, heavy, long pry bar to move implement for removal.

Once you get unhooked change all your equipment out to either cat1 or cat 2 ..
I've chosen to keep all mine cat1
Heavier implements get 7/8" slide pins
PIA but worth it in the long run.
Like the custom scrape blade .

The only other equipment I have is a set of JD 16" 3PT bottom plows, which are cat2. But my lift arms accept cat1 or cat2 eyes I only change them out for those..
You can also think about a dual pin option I'm not a fan of them.. but it's available...

Get rid of those bushings they only make a easy job a lot harder.. choose one cat or the other or get a quick hitch if your work can accommodate it..
