My B6100 had something threaded into the fixture attached to its left fender. Any guesses on what that might have been? Thanks

How about a construction site yellow beacon/flasher?
From before OSHA but headed there.

Looks like an umbrella base plate to me.

Definitely not original to the tractor. No telling what a previous owner rigged up. Looks about the same size/thread you'd see on pipe railing material. Seems like a standard pipe railing flange.

That looks like an electric entrance box fitting.

Yep, an offset electrical box fitting.

What it would have had fastened to it, no idea.

Just a note of fact here. I mounted a "regular" sized tool box on the right fender of my 1982 Ford 1700. It was easy. Took the OEM grab handle off and with two nut/bolts it was a quick instal. It was there for only a week or so. At certain speeds and engine rpms the tool box set up a massive vibration. Beyond just being irritating - like it wanted to tear off the metal fender. That could be the reason the OP only has that base plate.

From the picture, the overall condition of the tractor, it might be covering a dent............ That thing is ROUGH.

I will take functionality over beauty any day of the week. Looks like a functional tractor to me.

I vote for umbrella.

That's what I thought. Hopefully it runs better than it looks.

Nah! That's not an electrical box related anything. It looks to be standard pipe threads but larger diameter than ordinary bases for the old galvanized pipe railing -- more like 3" even ? The guys suggesting an umbrella mount are probably right. In the days before ROPS were standard, one would often see a large heavy duty umbrella mounted on a single post. I vote for that guess. Never noticed how they were mounted.

Studying the picture, that threaded mounting hole is offset from center of the baseplate. Very odd/curious as to why. Makes me suspect whatever it is was repurposed from some other unrelated application and became handy for a mount on the fender.

It goes to 1 1/2" fitting here. Maybe it looked bigger because it's a little tractor.
